Four Olsun Transformers Provide Portable Power Distribution to Land Oil and Gas Drilling Rigs
Olsun MV Dry Type Core & Coil Transformers were installed on four portable trailers that provide power distribution to land oil and gas drilling rigs. The engineered transformer solution had to meet the power and space requirements for the complete trailer design. The locations of the terminations were specified to fit all the equipment on the trailer. The mobile bracing was required to secure the transformer during the movement of the trailer in difficult terrain. The strip heaters and cross flow fans were required to maintain the temperature of the transformer in the electrical power enclosure on the trailer.
