Forty-six medium voltage units were custom manufactured for an LNG production and export facility located on the Calcasieu Ship Channel in Louisiana. The project site encompasses a 930-acre plot with more than a mile of deep water frontage and two ship loading marine berths for LNG vessels with carrying capacity of up to 185,000 cubic meters. The plant will be fed by a single 42-inch diameter, 24-mile long pipeline – interconnecting with major interstate and intrastate natural gas pipelines. It will also be served by an electrically driven, 611 MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant with an additional 25 MW gas-fired turbine.
Medium Voltage (MV) Transformer Features:
- Power: 750 kVA [41], 250 kVA [3], 2000 kVA [1] and 1500 kVA [1]
- Primary Volt: 13200D
- Secondary Volt: 480Y/277 or 4160Y/2400
- Aluminum Wound, VPI Coils
- NEMA 3R Cold Rolled Steel Substation Enclosure
- Neutral Grounding Resistors
